Unfortunately, like America, you cannot always gauge a people by the actions of its government. Maybe the israeli people will have the power to do what the Americans are too apathetic to do- stand up to the disproportionate response of its government and hold them accountable. Likewise, I hope that the future of the middle east's leaders will realize the urgency of the need for tolerance, not only among other belief systems, but within Islam as well.
I still have faith in humanity.
